Delilah's Megacolon Tonic Forage
With virtually nothing on the market for megacolon bunnies, especially holistic/natural support, we knew we had to take matters into our own hands for our special megacolon bunny, Delilah. So, after a lot of diligent research and consultation with our mentor Lucile Moore, we developed this powerful yet gentle restorative blend specifically designed to support megacolon bunnies. While this blend is designed specifically with megacolon in mind, it can also be safely given to small pets who do not have megacolon as a digestive health support blend. This blend works best when in conjunction with our Megacolon Tablets.
Delilah's Megacolon Tonic is a mixture of antispasmodics, anti-inflammatories, and herbs that specifically help with absorption of nutrients, countering irritation in the gut lining, and soothing mucous membranes of the GI tract.
Plantain is a wonderful gut-motility herb, and echinacea of course is a powerful immune booster. Dandelion and milk thistle support the liver. Schisandra berry is an adaptogenic herb which has anti-inflammatory and stress-reducing effects. High vitamin C herbs like rose hips are included as well (Vitamin C helps with improvement in fecal shape and output).
NOTE: This blend is an adjunct/complementary approach to the megacolon disorder by adding nutritional support, as a lack of nutrient absorption is part of the disease process. It is NOT a substitute for medication. The most important thing is medical management and working closely with a rabbit-savvy vet who believes in megacolon as a diagnosis/congenital disease.

I sprinkle about two large pinches of the forage on their hay in the morning so I’m not sure how much of it they are actually eating. I did put about a tablespoon in my hand to see if they would eat it and they did! They are picky and only ate the pieces they liked out of it. At least I know they are eating it. The girl bunny (white rabbit) has megacolon and her poops have started looking more normal since I started the forage with the megacolon treats. I’m going to keep her on it for awhile and see how she maintains. Things are looking up for her, finally.
We have a precious 3 year-old bunny who was born with Megacolon. She often went into symptoms GI stasis, and it was very difficult for her to tummy to digest anything she ate, including her hay.
Each time we saw her acting distant, we knew she was beginning to not feel well. We immediately went to work, providing her emergency care treatment, to save life! After reoccurring episodes, her quality of life was starting to drain her spirit, as she often suffered from not staying well.
After looking and reading online (as we've done before) on how to treat Megacolon in rabbits, we lucked upon your website, and possibly found the goodies that just may help our bunny tummy issues heal, and for her to thrive. We took the chance, and ordered both the Megacolon products.
While our bunny was recovering from a potential GI stasis incident, I offered her some Megacolon, tonic herb iny hand. Smelt it and turned her nose- the herbs had have a strong smell that she was not used to. So, I decided to leave some near her in case she changed her mind Thankfully, within 5 minutes, she began to nibble on some. It was so cute to hear the crunches she was making while slowly nibbling away.
After a few days, she really looked forward in getting these tonic snacks from us. Also, within a week, she showed significant improvement in her health. Within two weeks, our bunny was back to her full health! She had never been able to really show off her full potential of not being sick, and having her absolutely adorable, bright and feisty personality come out, was a pure miracle!
She now does binky's, zoomies , jumps, and gives snuggles. She also no longer hides from being in pain! Our bunny tummy is happy and as healthy as she can be. Her poops look pretty normal for her, too!
We are so greatful that we found you, and we and our bunny is happy that your products saved her life! Now, she will continue to thrive for many years to come!
Thank you!
I’m so, so happy you’ve been having such a positive experience with the Megacolon forage and tablets. It really warms my heart knowing that your baby is benefitting from them. I hope that they continue to have such a wonderful, positive impact for her! Thank you for the photo too - she is precious!
This is a good forage and pairs well with the megacolon tabs
My bunnies were skeptical of the scent at first and originally hopped away from it. But I never gave up, I would sprinkle it in places that they often eat hay from regardless. Soon enough, they were eating it straight from my hand, but clearly preferred to forage for it. I'm so happy I found a product that helps my rabbit's stomach issues.
My MC bunny loves this forage! It makes a great addition to hay or as a topper on her food! I love knowing that this forage is not only safe for her but good for her too!
